Preparing for the Zombie Apocalypse: Up!Skilling Festival & Expo

October 29, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

upskillinglogo_lrg_oct19  We live in uncertain times. Who knows when the world as we know it well might take a dramatic shift.  Without electricity how long can you and your family keep securely in terms of food, heat, and everything? What happens if the petrochemicals run out?  Those old traditional skills our grandparents and their grandparents relied on to get them through without the modern conveniences we have today might be urgently needed.  Besides, these skills are a joy to learn and practice at any time!  They uplift and empower us while providing great joy.

Whether it be skills for building, or entertaining, or food growing and preparation, or safety, or forms of energy we could personally access, we are looking for presenters who can help us all build the community some old-time skills – and have fun while doing it.

The format will be small group presentations, with multiple presentations operating concurrently. Each presentation will last 60 to 90 minutes so you can attend a delightful variety, up to 6 full presentations.

Don’t be a Zombie! Use your brainnnssssss while you still have them!  Come learn helpful and fun skills!

If you are interested in presenting or need more info, please contact info@transitionbay.ca

Are you in?  Wear a costume for extra fun if you wish!
