Seedopolis: Everything you Need to Know About Seeds & Seed Libraries

April 7, 2018 @ 2:15 pm - 4:30 pm

Join us for an afternoon of learning all about seeds! We will talk about everything to do with seeds, including the magic of seeds, seed types, diversity and life span, international seed libraries, seed anatomy, storing and using seeds, how to perform germination tests, methods of planting seeds, buying seeds, hybrid vs. heirloom seeds, when and how to harvest and store your own seeds, sprouting seeds for delicious fresh food from the garden year round… and much more!  A hands-on portion allows you to get familiar with things.  We will even give out some heirloom beans.  Also, we will be sharing news about our new Tantallon community seed library at the Tantallon Public Library.

This is a free event, open to all.  Coffee, tea and cookies served.
