Wells, Cisterns and Water Conservation

May 16 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Last year, we had a serious drought and many residents in the Bay had shortages of water.  Learn what you need to know in case of another summer drought.  This workshop will cover wells, cisterns and water conservation techniques.

The main speaker for the workshop is Josh Feltmate, Prime Pumps and Water Treatment, who understands and deals with local water issues in the Bay area.  He is fully knowledgeable about drilled and dug wells, cisterns and other means to source water.

In addition, Dawn Smith will provide valuable information on conserving water, based on years of living in south western dry areas.

This two-hour workshop will be held at the Tantallon Public Library on Saturday, May 16th, from 2:30 to 4:30pm.

This event is free and open to the public. Donations are greatly appreciated. We welcome new volunteers to help with events like this one. Please contact us at info@transitionbay.ca for more information.
